Teeters' Funeral Home and Relocation of Purdytown Cemetery
Location: Greene Dreher Historical Society
Time: May 6, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Dick Teeter will discuss five generations of his family and their businesses, Teeter’s Funeral Home and Furniture Store, located on the corner of Church and Main Streets in Hawley. Dick will present the history of those businesses and the relocation of the Purdytown Cemetery prior to its flooding during the construction of Lake Wallenpaupack by Pennsylvania Power and Light.
Light refreshments will follow the presentation. All Greene-Dreher Historical Society programs are free and open to the public.
