A Contra Dance
Location: The Cooperage: 1030 Main Street Honesdale PA, 18431
Time: Aug 26, 2017 from 7:15 PM to 10:00 PM
Bring a partner with you or find a partner here, all are welcome and we'll all be dancing together! Jeanne Wassman, Donna Le Gregor, Lourdes Brown, Judy Trudgen and Ron Huber will be playing with our caller Laurie B. to keeping us moving all night long!
Caller Laurie B. will do a beginner lesson starting at 7:15 and the dancing will start at 7:30. Beginners are most welcome!
What is contra dancing? Contra dance is a folk dance made up of long lines of couples. It has mixed origins from English country dance, Scottish, French dance styles in the 17th century, with strong African influence from Appalachia.
